1 Killed, 3 Injured in Mazar-e-Sharif Explosion

At least one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a gas cylinder blast near the shrine of Hazrat Ali at the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, capital of northern Balkh province.
Balkh police spokesman, Sher Jan Durrani, confirmed the explosion, saying the incident took place around 12:30pm at Shadeyan Street, south of the Shrine.
He added only one person was killed and three others were wounded.
But according to the eyewitnesses, the explosion was so powerful that part of a restaurant building close to the shrine was destroyed.
