1 Killed, 8 Injured as Roadside Bomb Strikes Bus in Kandahar

A roadside bomb killed at least one person and injured eight others in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan, a security official said on Sunday.

The blast occurred last night around 12:00 pm in Helmand – Kandahar highway in Maiwand district and targeted a bus, police commander Sultan Mohammad told to Ariana News.

The bomb blast killed one person and injured eight others, police official added.

The attacks targeting security personnel and civilians have been increased after the dead of Mullah Omar was confirmed and Mullah Akhtar Mansoor was appointed as the new leader of Taliban.

In three consecutive deadly attacks in Kabul, at least 50 people were killed and about 450 others mainly civilians were injured during the Thursday and Friday.
