11 Taliban Militants Killed, 17 Injured in Paktika Clashes

At least 11 Taliban insurgents were killed on Saturday, following an armed attack on security check posts in southeastern Paktika province, the Interior Ministry said.

The incident took place in Surobi district of the province which also injured 17 Taliban militants, the interior Ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement no casualties to occurred to Afghan security forces and civilians in the clashes.

The statement did not provide further details.

The Taliban has not immediately commented.
