12 Day Exhibition Called Lelam Held in Kabul

Officials in Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the cooperation of the Afghan businessmen and investors have held a joint exhibition called Lelam in Kabul city for 12 days amid no officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry attended in the inauguration ceremony.

They have stated that the object is to present the internal products with suitable prices on the occasion of coming Eid days, in the following joint exhibition 45 Afghan-Turkish companies present their products.

Deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Younus Mohmand said,” Afghan businessmen have held the exhibition but no one from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have attended, their act will discourage the private sector.”

Board member entrepreneurs of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Etebar Zadran said,” Officials in Ministry of Commerce and Industry should encourage the businessmen, not attending the exhibition discourage the businessmen and undermine business in the country.”

Meanwhile members of the National Council have criticized the absence of the officials within the exhibition.

Mp Mohammad Hashim Faryabi said,” Considering the ongoing ramshackle economy system in the country the officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry should have attended, their presence would encourage the businessmen.”

Participants in the exhibition have insisted holding of the same events in the future.

“Holding scores of exhibition will boost the economy of our country and will encourage different industries to produce more products one of the shopkeepers in the exhibition said.”

Businessmen have demanded the Government to have regular supports for the private sectors in the long run investment culture will be deteriorated in the country.
