17 ANSF Killed in Fresh Raid of Taliban in Badakhshan

Based on the latest reports 17 Afghan National Security Forces ANSF were killed after Taliban have stormed into their military base in warduch district of Badakhshan Province.

Mp Zalmay Mujadidi said,” 17 Afghan security forces were brutally killed and 40 others were missing, the offence began since last night in different parts of Badakshan Province.”

Later he claimed that Afghan security forces have been capable to get hold of those 40 mission police forces.

According to his statement warduch district is surrounded by Taliban, and fighting still continues in Raghistan district, he claimed that Taliban were defeated badly in the following district and the number of their causalities isn’t clear yet.

Head of the Badakhshan provincial council member Abdullah Naji said, “fighting started late evening in between Afghan National Security Forces and Taliban, after strong resistance of the Afghan security forces, Taliban have been capable to take over their check points.”

Meanwhile local residents have confirmed that 18 Afghan security forces were killed on spot, a number of the Afghan security forces were taken by Taliban as hostages.

The recent offence of Taliban comes after Taliban insurgents attacked a number of ANA posts in Jurm and targeted the military posts with small and heavy weapons. The soldiers fought off the insurgents for more than six hours – without air support.

Finally dozens ANA soldiers were behead and killed by Taliban and huge amount of ammunition and weaponries seized by Taliban.
