19 militants including key Taliban commander killed in Ghazni

Afghanistan Ministry of Interior announced that 19 Taliban militants including a Key commander of the group were killed in Ghazni province of Afghanistan.

In a statement released by the MOI said during the last 24 hours police forces responded to several Taliban attack in Deh Yak, Andar, and Giro districts of Ghazni province.

19 Taliban insurgents including a famous commander named Gul Hazrat Waziristani were killed in the clashes with the Afghan National Police, the statement said.

According to the report, Waziristani was a famous commander of the Taliban who was involved in destructive and terroristic activities especially over Afghan security forces checkpoints in Ghanzni province.

The statement also said that two policemen were also killed in the clashes and four others were wounded.

Ghazni is among the volatile provinces in south of Afghanistan where the anti-government militant groups are actively operating in a number of its areas.
