25 Children ‘Rescued’ Before Being Smuggled to Pakistan For Insurgency Training

Afghan police has rescued 25 children before being smuggled to Pakistan for insurgency training, officials said Monday.

The 25 children aged between 7 to 15 were smuggled from Andar, Dahyak, Ab Band and Qaragh districts of central Ghazni province.

The Police Chief of Ghazni, Mustafa Mayar said the smugglers were taking the victims to Quetta of Pakistan for training on suicide attacks.

The children being brainwashed, “they could not become self-sufficient and able to make their own decisions,” Mayar said. “Their [the children’s] family was not being informed.”

Police said the families of the children being informed and they will be handed over.

Four people including two drivers were arrested in connection with the case.
