44 militants killed in Afghan raids in Farah

At least 44 militants were killed and more than 30 others wounded on Tuesday night in Posht Road district of Afghanistan’s Farah province, police said.

Provincial police official, Mohammad Ghaws Malyar told Ariana News that we have cleared more than six villages from the Taliban since the last night.

44 Taliban fighters were killed and more than 30 others wounded in air and ground ambushes by the Afghan security forces, he added.

According to the report the operations against the Taliban were conducted after fresh troops arrived and around a hundred Humvee tanks were also deployed by the ministry of defense as part of the reinforcement in the district.

Taliban group has not made a comment yet.
