56 Terrorists Killed and Wounded in Afghan Joint Operations

The Ministry of Defense issuing a statement said that 32 terrorists including 9 Islamic State or Daesh fighters have been killed and 24 others wounded in joint operations conducted by Afghan forces across the country.

According to the statement, 6 terrorists have been arrested during the operations which were carried out in Nangarhar, Laghman, Paktika, Kandahar, Farah, Baghlan, Kunduz, Nimroz, and Helmand provinces.

The statement further noted that a number of weapons, munitions and vehicles belonging to the terrorists were also seized by Afghan security forces.

“6 planned clearance operations and 16 special operations have been carried out over the course of past 24 hours during which Afghan Air Forces conducting 66 flights have targeted several heavens of the militants,” the statement further reads.
