Unknown Gunmen Kill Eight Afghan Security Guards of Bagram Airbase

Eight Afghan Security Guards working at Bagram Air Base were killed and three others wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire on them near the base, officials said Monday.

Parwan Police Chief, General Mohammad Zaman Mamozai confirmed the incident and said, “The incident happened on Monday night which left eight dead and three others wounded.”

The incident reportedly took place in Shah Kah, a village near the base.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. But the Taliban and Islamic State militant groups are active in Afghanistan.
