Abdullah meets with Tajikistan PM to discuss peace process

Abdullah Abdullah, chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR), met with Qohir Rasulzoda, Tajikistan’s prime minister, on Monday soon after arriving in the country. 
 
Abdullah, who is leading a delegation of officials to Afghanistan’s northerly neighbor, is on an official two-day visit to the country to discuss issues relating to the peace process. 
 
This is yet another leg of his regional tour, which has so far seen him visit Turkey, India, Pakistan and Iran.
 
In a Twitter post, Abdullah said on Monday afternoon, he had a constructive meeting with Rasulzoda. 
 
“We discussed the Afghan Peace Process, peace talks, regional support for peace, bilateral relations. He assured me of his country’s full support for the peace efforts.”
 
Earlier, Abdullah met with Mohammad Taher Zakerzadeh, Speaker of the House of Representatives for Tajikistan.
 
He said: “We exchanged views on Afghan Peace Process, Tajikistan, and regional support for peace, and bilateral relations.”
