The Country’s Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on Monday reacted against the proposal of Loya Jirga (grand assembly) which was suggested previously by the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and recently endorsed by Rangin Spanta, former National Security Adviser.

Abdullah also spoke against the remarks made by Mohammad Mohaqiq, his second deputy, about Afghans presence in the Syrian War.

He added that the government is not in favor of Afghans fighting in any country.

The CEO, ironically pointing to the proposal of holding a Loya Jirga by Mr. Karzai and Mr. Spanta, said that the critics should never think of government’s collapse.

Mohaqiq’s remarks of praising Afghan fighters in Syria was followed by some very harsh criticisms inside the country.

Arian Yoon, a member of the parliament, said that with such remarks Mohaqiq is trying to make his “masters” happier.

Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament, described Mohaqiq’s remarks in violation of Afghanistan’s national interests.

On the other hand, Abdullah Abdullah, rejected Loya Jirga as a resolution to overcome out of the current situation of Afghanistan.

“Loya Jirga and the interim government can’t resolve our problems. We ask the politicians to play in a right direction and endure being some days out of the government,” added Abdullah while speaking on weekly minister’s council.

He also stated that as the U.S. new strategy is not time based, it will be functioning until the full defeat of the terror groups in Afghanistan.
