Afghan Forces Kill 14 Taliban Militants In Farah

At least 14 Taliban insurgents were killed and three others wounded after Afghan forces launched a military operation in Posht-Road district of Farah province, a police official said.

“A joint clearance operation was launched by Afghan forces on Wednesday morning. Taliban has retreated after suffering heavy causalities in Gajgeen village of Posht-Road district,” said provincial police spokesman, Iqbal Baher.

The official added that two local commanders of the group were among the dead.

According to the source, clashes still continuing between Afghan forces and militants.

There was no word on any causalities among security forces.

Taliban has not made a comment about the report yet.
