Afghan forces killed Taliban attackers near Spanish embassy in Kabul – Official

Afghan security forces have killed all the insurgents involved in the attack on a guest house near the Spanish embassy in Kabul, Afghan security officials said on Saturday.

“Afghan Police Special Forces have killed all the attackers who were involved in last night terrorist attack in Kabul,” Sediq Sediqi MoI spokesman said on Saturday.

A car bomb was detonated by a suicide attacker near the gate of a guesthouse near the Spanish embassy at around 05:40 p.m. in Shairpoor locality of Kabul City on Friday evening.

The blast was followed by sporadic bursts of gunfire for hours and fire was exchanged between the insurgents and Afghan security forces till the dawn of Saturday.

Reportedly, four Afghan police, two Spanish and four suicide bombers were killed in last night attack and at least seven civilians were wounded.

The Taliban claimed responsibility of the attack saying it was carried out by a suicide bomber.
