Afghan forces recapture Darqad district in northern Takhar

Afghan security forces recaptured Darqad district in the northern Takhar province of Afghanistan, MoD announced on Sunday.
A statement released by Afghan ministry of defense said,” the district was completely captured by Afghan security forces today at 05:00 a.m. local time”.
According to the statement at least 30 Taliban militants were killed and injured and 9 others were arrested during the operations and a number of military equipments were also seized by Afghan forces.
MoD says the clearance operation is still continuing to completely clear the area from the existence of the anti-government militant groups.
Taliban group has not made a comment yet.
