Afghan Gov’t to hold Parliamentary Election, asking UN supports

President of Afghanistan in an official’s letter to United Nation Organization has written that Afghan Government is willing to hold parliamentary Election by having support of the United Nation Organization.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has welcomed both committees led by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Interior Affairs for providing financial and security supports.

There are three challenges and obstacles ahead of the parliamentary Election.

1-      Reformation of the Election system and commissions.

2-      Drawing the International aids specially the United Nation Organization.

3-      Ensuring security for the day of Election in the country.

President Deputy Spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashimi said,” the main point in the letter was about holding of the parliamentary Election with the support International community specially the United Nations Organizations.”

Our expectation is to speed up the processing of reformation of the Election system in Afghanistan specially we are waiting for the Election law to be approved by the lower house of the parliament President Deputy Spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashimi said,”

Based on the Afghanistan’s constitution the Parliamentary Election was tend to be held last year, but due to some technical and financial issues the following Election was delayed, based on the estimation of the Election commissions only the Parliamentary Election will cost $120 million.
