Afghan intelligence arrested suicide bomb organizers in Kabul

A group of terrorists network included three main members were arrested during an operation from 9th police district of Kabul city, the Afghan intelligence agency said on Monday.

According to a statement by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) the individuals who were expert in the making of magnetic bombs and bombs which can be detonated with mobile phones were arrested during a special operation from Khwaja Rawash area of Kabul city.

The detained individuals have been identified as Hussain Ahmad also known as Shahid, Shaheed Ahmad also known as Bashir Ahmad and Hekmatullah also known as Mustafa.

The individuals have confessed that they were involved in the following terrorist attacks: An explosion targeting UK Sport owner’s vehicle, an explosion targeting a police vehicle in Yakatoot area of Kabul city, an explosion near the house of Fahim Hashimi who is the owner of 1TV news channel, attempt murder of an intelligence member and keeping a suicide attacker in their residence, the statement added.

A large number of weapons and ammunitions including 21 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s) which could be detonated with mobile phones, 2 magnetic bombs, 3 rocket warheads which could be used same as IED’s, 2 hand grenades, 2 bombs remote controls, 7 water-gels explosives, 7 kg of explosive materials, 2 computers, 2 Suzaki vehicles, two motorcycles and some military equipments were also detained from terrorists.
