ALP forces keep 40% security of Afghanistan: MoD

Officials in Ministry of Interior Affairs have stated that Afghan local police forces ensure 40 percent security in 135 districts and villages of Afghanistan.

Assistant of the senior Deputy Minister in MoI has stated that the causalities of the Afghan local police forces in past 4 months.

Afghan local police forces were formed 7 years ago to maintain security for the public installations and highways of in 35 provinces of Afghanistan to ensure security for 7000 district and villages of Afghanistan.

Chief of local police Ali Shah Ahmadzai said,” 6800 Afghan local police forces were assigned to ensure security for the 179 districts of the Afghanistan which will cover 40 percent of soil within their territory”.

Assistant of the senior Deputy Minister in MoI Mohammad Salim Asas said,” comparing to 4 past months the casualties of the local police forces were decreased, because efforts were made on their reformation, education and some other necessary security measurements.”

Minister of Interior Affairs Sediq Sediqee said,” Reformation, education and training provided for the Afghan local police forces have strengthened the power of the ALPF defeated the insurgents.”

Afghan local police forces are being supported by the resolute support mission in Afghanistan, they were known effective for ensuring security in district level in Afghanistan.
