Afghan NSA Visits Tehran for Bilateral Talks
Atmar traveled to Tehran, the capital of Islamic Republic of Iran based on the invitation of Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
In addition, during his two-day visit he will hold talks with Abdulreza Rahmani Fazli, Interior Minister of Iran, Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of Iran and Ali Shamkhani.
According to the reports during this visit, the fight against terrorism, preventive measure for drug cultivation and border security issues will be discussed.
Afghan official also called for collective efforts in the fight against extremism and terrorism by focusing on regional security.
