Afghan-Pak 2-Day Talks End Without Result

Afghanistan’s two-day dialogue with neighboring Pakistan ended without progress, the Ministry of Foreign (MoF) said.

“Our dialogue ended without any result and we know that Pakistan would never be honest in fight against terrorism,” said Shakib Mustaghni, spokesman of MoF.

Islamabad hosted the meeting of what is named the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity, or APAPPS.

The plan aims to boost cooperation between the two countries and address issues related to counter-terrorism, reduction of violence, peace and reconciliation, refugees’ repatriation and joint economic development.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman, however, maintained both sides had ‘good discussions’ at talks that took place under the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS), a joint action plan for cooperation in the key areas of counter-terrorism and reduction of violence, peace and reconciliation, repatriation of refugees and joint economic development.

The first round was held in Kabul on February 3, following the deadliest Taliban-claimed attacks in Kabul on January 20 and January 27, which had killed nearly 125 people and injured over 250.
