Afghan Political Leaders Support Corrupted Networks: IWA

Members at the Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) have said the Afghan political leaders enormously support the corrupted Networks, based on the research launched the Government of Afghanistan seeks its stability within the corruption.

Chairman of the Integrity watch of Afghanistan insisted on dismissing of the 17 equal institutions combating corruption in Afghanistan specially the President special envoy on good Governance, further he declared some of the members of the lower house are paving ways for corruption.

Integrity Watch Afghanistan after 21 months has published a report stating that the Afghanistan political leaders have no solid intention to eradicate corruption, and forgot the commitments were given to the International community for combating corruption.

Chairman of the integrity watch Afghanistan Ikram Afzali said, “The Afghanistan political leaders significantly support the corrupted Networks, while being benefited from the current condition, Government seeks its stability on supporting corruption within the Government body.”

Part of the research states that Afghan Government still does not declare corruption as threat against the National security, further the following institution have pointed out that members of the lower house are involved in launching corruption in some cases they blackmail the Government, and disrupting the justice- judicial affairs.

“Combating corruption should be none political one, the departments aren’t effective should be demolished, one independent committee to combat seriously against corruption should be established,” chairman of the integrity watch Afghanistan Ikram Afzali said.

Integrity watch Afghanistan researcher Nasir Timori said, “Government neither has policy to combat corruption, nor law.”

Efforts made to have the Presidential palace views over the issue but officials in high office of oversight and anti-corruption refused the allegations.

Head of the high office of oversight and anti-corruption Ghulam Hussien Fakhri said, “ We have seen no reports that Afghan political leaders to support corrupted Networks,”

At the end members of the integrity watch of Afghanistan warned any neglects on eradication of corruption will deteriorate the 15 years of achievements.
