Afghan presidency responsible for distributing electronic ID cards: Parliament
Wolesi Jirga says that Afghanistan presidency is responsible for distributing the electronic ID cards.
Parliament noted that president Ashraf Ghani Ahmad Zai has said that distributing the electronic ID cards is the priority of the new government.
According to President Ghani, the ministry of interior affairs and the ministry of communications have the responsibility for distributing the electronic ID cards.
In the meantime, members in parliament are demanding the government to introduce the new cabinet members to parliament soon.
Gholam Hussain Naseri, a member of Parliament said, “We urge the government to identify those who have dual citizenship”
This comes as president Ahmad Zai has set 45 days to form a new cabinet and introduce the new cabinet members.
