Afghan Security Forces Recapture Khanabad District of Kunduz: Zia

Governor of Takhar province Dr. Zia has confirmed that they have recaptured  the Khanabad district of Kunduz province from Taliban.

Ministry of Interior Affairs Spokesman Sediq Sediqee has also published news of recapturing of the Khanabad district of Kunduz province in his facebook account.

Mr. Sediqee also urged that concrete efforts are underway to pull out Taliban from Kunduz province.

Ariana News reporter who is on the scene has stated that the Afghanistan National Army Deputy Chief of staff’s Gen Murad Ali Murad has arrived in Kunduz to lead the war against insurgents.

It’s said that Khanabad district was recaptured by the close cooperation of the Takhar Governor along his security forces, during the telephone conversation Takhar Governor Dr. Zia has told to Ariana News that they are in the center of the Khanabad district city.

He also claimed that Afghan security forces have captured the district building, police headquarter and other Governmental installations from Taliban.

Six months ago President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani had visited Kunduz province and had ordered military operations to clear Taliban from the following province.
