Afghan-U.S. Presidents to Meet in Saudi Arabia

Afghan President Muhammad Ashraf Ghani is scheduled to visit with the U.S. President Donald J. Trump at the sideline of an international conference on counter-terrorism in Saudi Arabia.
Ghani’s office said on Saturday that the two presidents will discuss the U.S. new strategy for Afghanistan.
This comes as the U.S. president is expected to decide on a new strategy for the ongoing war in Afghanistan by the end of May to break the “stalemate” with the Taliban group.
Currently, Riyadh is hosting a two-day international counter-terrorism conference where Muslim leaders from around the world will join to discuss the issue.
