Afghan Woman Stabbed to Death Over Adultery
A man stabbed to death his sister along with a man over having affairs and adultery last night in Aybak, the capital city of Samangan province, the local official confirmed.
As stated Mr. Sediq Azizi, spokesman of Samangan governor, the murdered woman named Shekiba and the murdered man named Gul Agha who was a resident of Jawzjan province.
Shekiba and her lover were allegedly stabbed to death with ax by the woman’s brother inside Shekiba’s home over having affairs or adultery.
The perpetrator of the incident has surrendered himself to the police and is currently under custody.
Meanwhile, local authorities in Samangan claim that cases of honor killings and violence against women is lower in the province and they are trying to decrease the incidence of such cased across the province.
