Afghanistan Exposes World Powers Rivalries: Senate

Afghan senators are voicing concerns over growing Russian-American political tensions warn the government to follow a neutral policy.

The legislators say, if Afghanistan shouldn’t adopt such a constructive policy in the region that would further escalate instability in the country.

“Afghanistan must not become a victim of the world power rivalries. The government should do its best to adopt a neutral policy to save Afghanistan.” Hassan Hotak, a senator highlighted.

“Russia consistently avoids cooperation with Afghan government, blaming NATO and U.S. forces for not being active in fight with drugs dealers. We want the Russians to be good neighbors and help us in counter terrorism missions.” Haseeb Kaleemzai, another legislator emphasized.

The house of senate insists for changes in Washington’s Afghan policy, unless the security situation would deteriorate.

“We are deeply concerned of our country to become another Syria. The U.S. and its allies weren’t honest in Afghanistan and that’s why the government need to implement wise policies to avoid the country stuck with further crisis.” Senate vice speaker, Izidyar emphasized.

The senators say, as for Afghanistan is fighting on the behalf the whole region and the world against terrorism, thus it’s highly recommended to be paid honest attention for the country’s anti-terrorism efforts.
