The Senate House on Sunday summoned officials from Ministry of Finance to respond regarding defaults on fiscal year 1394 draft budget on solar calendar.

Earlier Afghanistan National Draft Budget for fiscal year 1394 which will cost about 458.8 million Afghani was presented to Meshrano Jirga (The Lower House of Parliament) by the government to be discussed and provide their recommendations.

Senators believe that Afghanistan National Budget is unfair and imbalanced.

The House Deputy Speaker, Mohammad Alam Ezadyar said,” an explicit lack of balance is clearly visible in the budget, Afghanistan is our common house, but zero discretionary funds has been allocated for three provinces.”

Officials in Ministry of Finance accept that it is not satisfactory for them as well; they declared that it has been disbursed based on the fund availability and facilities on their hand.

Deputy Minister for Policy of Ministry of Finance, Shafiq Ahmad Qarizada said,” No one is happy and favoring this budget, we haven’t allocated any new project with new budget for any province, because we do not have funds.”

These statements come while most of the budgetary units could not spend their developmental budgets for the last year due to unknown reasons.
