All Afghan Provinces to Be Connected with Optical Fiber Technology: MoCT

The Ministry of Communication and Technology (MoCT) says all Afghan provinces will be connected to the optical fiber technology by the end of the current solar year.

During the opening ceremony of optical fiber unit in Kapisa province, the acing minister of communication said that efforts are underway to reduce the rate consumer cards of communication.

“With the connection of this program, the 2G, 3G and 4G services will get better and will also be effective in reducing the rates of consumer cards,” said Sayeed Ahmad Shah Sadat, acting minister of communication.

The connection of optical fiber to Kapisa province in length of 47 Km costs 1,8 million dollars that was paid by the World Bank.

In the meantime, the governor of Kapisa province also said that the communication services will become better with the connection of optical fiber.

Officials of MoCI stressed that the other provinces of the country will be connected with the optical fiber technology in the nearest tie and all provinces will be connected together.
