US President Barack Obama has promised to help preserve all progress made in Afghanistan over the past decade.
President Obama was in Kabul on Saturday evening to meet with American soldiers.
During his meeting with the troops, he said the coming days would be days of victory for American soldiers in Afghanistan and they were to ensure that the interest of Afghanistan was not jeopardized in any way.
The President said he was committed to maintaining and supporting the best interests of Afghanistan.
He also expressed hope that the security accord between Kabul and Washington would soon be signed by the new President of Afghanistan.
This is the fourth trip President Obama has made to Afghanistan. His first trip was after he was re-elected as the President of America in 2012.
