Analysts: Mobilizing Afghans, government’s responsibility

A number of Afghan analysts in reaction to the recent speeches of Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayaf say that mobilizing Afghan people is only the responsibility of the government.

Abdul Rab Rasul Sayaf, a prominent Jihadi leader warned Pakistan to stop plots against Afghanistan and if it continues he will mobilize the Afghan nation.

Afghan analysts are said to consider mobilizing people by any groups or individuals contrary to the constitutions and will led the government under questioning.

“We would have no achievements from this mobilization. This action is only the responsibility of the government and just the government can mobilize the people,” Moien Marastyal, political analyst said.

Meanwhile, some of others said that everything that takes place should be under the light of the law and the rule of law; otherwise it will come to a deadlock and will be a danger for people.

“The first problem is that we do not have a specific introduction of the enemy and friends. Afghan people are impatiently waiting for this introduction. But anyway everything must takes place under the rule of law,” Aziz Rafie, Political analyst said.

At the same time, representatives in National Assembly said that people are disappointed of the current government and the past commitments have not been fulfilled so far.

“People are disappointed of the government leaders who have committed many promises during their election campaigns,” Muhammad Alam Izad Yar, first deputy speaker of Senate said.

Sayaf also urged the National Unity Government leaders to announce the date of parliamentary elections as soon as possible and call for Loya Jirga (National Assembly) to make a decision if they could not announce the election date.
