Cabinet selection committee members on Thursday have said that the announcement of new cabinet postponed after London’s summit.

Members of cabinet selection committee have tried to announce a part of the new cabinet before London summit but disagreements between president Ghani and chief of executive officer, Abdullah on political agreement and the government of national unity caused the announcement delays.

In the meantime, Afghanistan first vice president, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dustom insists on solving insecurity problems, saying after the formation of the new cabinet all ministers especially security institutions are accountable to the president.

According to the law, no position should be headed more than a month after forming a new government; however it has been more than 45 days that the key positions are under control of the acting ministers.

President Ashraf Ghani has now officially broken his first campaign promise — to form a new government within 45 days after his inauguration which the acting ministers are concerning about it.
