Armed Gunmen stormed into Indian Consulate in Balkh
A number of armed gunmen have stormed into Indian consulate in Mazar city Balkh Province late Sunday evening security officials confirmed.
Balkh security chief Abdul Razaq Qaderi has confirmed the attack saying there were four attackers armed with RPG have attacked the Indian consulate late Sunday evening.
Meanwhile one of the spokespersons in Ministry of foreign affairs of India has confirmed the attack ,saying the casualties is feared.
Balkh Police officials have stated that one of the main reasons that we couldn’t launch operation to remove the attackers hidden in one of the empty houses was the darkness of the night,we will launch our operation as soon it gets lighter.
They have also claimed that two of the attackers are still alive and hidden in the house.
