Attack on NGO Ends As Attackers Killed, 42 Rescued

Clashes have ended in Shar-e Naw area of Kabul after the Afghan security forces killed all three gunmen involved in the attack, the Afghan Ministry of Interior (MOI) said on Tuesday.

In a statement released by MOI said that one civilian was killed and six others were wounded.

The complex attack began at around 11:00 pm last night over CARE non-governmental organization after a suicide bomber detonated his car bomb at the gate of the organization and a group of three attackers managed to enter the building.

Following the attack the Afghan special forces fought with the insurgents for about 11 hours till all those involved in Monday night’s attack in the Share Naw are of Kabul were killed.

According to the statement the Afghan special forces have managed to rescue 42 people including 10 foreign nationals in the rescue operation.

This was the third attack in one day after twin attacks near ministry of defense that left dozens of people killed and wounded.
