AWCC Awarded First Position for Paying Taxes on Time

The Ministry of Finance has awarded the first position to Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) for paying the taxes on time.

About 400 companies are in Finance Ministry’s taxpayers list; however, the ministry has praised eight firms in total for paying their taxes on time.

“Several companies which have paid their taxes on time and respected the laws were honored,” said the Deputy Minister of Finance, Ahmad Shafiq Qarizada.

Among the taxpayers AWCC has been awarded the first by the ministry.

“We got the first position and the reason is that we paid the taxes on time in a transparent process and respect to the laws of Afghanistan,” said the head of AWCC, Ameen Rameen.  

As the first Telecommunication firm in Afghanistan, the AWCC was established in 2002 and currently, the company have the network coverage across the country.
