Balkh police detained suicide attacker

Balkh Police on Wednesday arrested a suicide attacker wearing a suicide west in in northern Balkh province, officials said.
Abdul Raziq Qaderi, Balkh chief of police in a press conference in Mazar-e Sharif said the suicide attacker wanted to target the district police chief but before the attack took place, police in cooperation of local residents arrested him.
Qaderi identified the suicide attacker as Dad Muhammad, 24 year-old, one of the inhabitants of Sholgara district of Balkh province.
Dad Muhammad also admits that he was convinced by some individuals in Pakistan to carry out a suicide attack.
While pointing at the existence of security threats for disrupting the celebration of Nawroz, Qaderi noted that security forces have taken serious measures to provide the security of the upcoming Nawroz.
