Blast Strikes Herat, Kills at least Seven, Wounds 16

At least seven killed and 16 more injured in an explosion in western Herat province of Afghanistan, provincial police said Tuesday.

The blast took place on Tuesday afternoon near the Jam-e-Mosque of Herat city.

Reports suggest, the explosives were placed in parking area of the mosque.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
