Britain to withdraw drones from Afghanistan to Iraq

Britain has announced that this country will withdraw its armed drones from Afghanistan to Iraq to use against Daesh group.

According to reports, the Britain’s minister of defense, Philip Hammond on Thursday said to Parliament that Britain’s drones will support Iraqi troops and international coalition forces in fight against Daesh group.

“We are in the process of re-deploying some of our Reaper remotely-piloted aircraft from Afghanistan to the Middle East,” Hammond said.

This will be the first time that Britain has deployed its drones from Afghanistan to another country.

Currently, Britain has eight Royal Air Force (RAF) Tornado fighter jets conducting bombing raids on Islamic State targets in Iraq.
