Following criticisms over President Ahmadzai for not introducing the new cabinet, the committee assigned to work on new cabinet has said efforts are underway to introduce the new cabinet to the Parliament ahead of London summit.
“The new cabinet members will be introduced to Wolesi Jirga in the near future,” members of committee assigned to work on the new cabinet said, “The newly introduced ministers will receive their vote of confidence before London summit.”
The committee member, Abdul Satar Murad, stated that the introduction was delayed because of finding and recommending well-qualified and eligible candidates.
The lawmakers, insisting on immediate introduction of cabinet members, urged that Afghanistan would not get international community’s trust if the new cabinet was not introduced before the London meeting.
The London summit, which meets high importance for Afghanistan in economic, military and political areas, will be held on 4th of December 2014.
Currently all cabinet members of former President Karzai’s administration are working as the acting ministers and according to the law, they can continue their jobs for another 16 days.
