Car bomb kills, wounds dozens in Logar

A car bomb detonated in PD1 of the Pul-e-Alam city, the capital of Logar province, on Friday evening, the Interior Ministry (MoI) confirmed.

According to the MoI, an explosives-laden vehicle detonated at around 7 pm that “resulted in civilian casualties and caused damage to houses and a hospital.”

The Ministry stated that at least 30 people were killed in the explosion.

“Security forces have put in efforts to rescue people trapped under rubble,” the Ministry said.

Hasibullah Stanekzai, Head of the Provincial Council, told Ariana News that at least 70 people were also wounded in the blast.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
