CE Abdullah Calls for Delay in Distribution of Electronic ID-Cards

The Chief Executive, Abdullah Abdullah’s office has said that the distribution of electronic ID cards is an important national issue and needs more discussions and attention.

The CE office in a press release stated that a national consensus is required before the distribution of electronic ID cards.

“Such big and important national issues need more attention for preventing the differences,” the press release added.

This comes as the population registration department announced the start of biometric process of government officials including President Ashraf Ghani for distribution of electronic ID cards.
