Central Bank of Afghanitan Burns 5 Billion Worn Afghani Annually

Officials in Da Afghanistan Bank (DBA) have stated that we set fire about 5 billion worn Afghan currency annually, saying efforts are underway to in place the Electronic system through internet to protect the Afghan currency from going worn, demanding the people to maintain the currency while exchanging in markets.

Officials in Da Afghanistan Bank spoke about a new program to replace the current Afghan money exchange system in markets.

Da Afghanistan Bank Spokesman Emal Ashur said, “Efforts are underway to replace the current exchanging of money into an electronic system through internet, launching the electronic system will save the Afghan currency from going worn.”

Based on the estimation of the Central Bank of Afghanistan from 2005, 40  billion Afghan money was burned.

Meanwhile officials in Da Afghanistan Bank are optimistic over people, trusting Afghani currency.

“People began to trust over Afghan currency comparing to past time, in most part of the country residents are using the Afghan currency.” Da Afghanistan Bank Spokesman Emal Ashuri said.

The statement comes in where concerns are in rise that residents of south and east of the country are using Pakistani rupees while purchasing things in markets and Government as usual failed to avoid using of foreign currency.
