Certain Elements Want to Revert Afghanistan of Warfare: Massoud
Massoud said that ethnic, linguistic and sectarian divisions have rised and the provokers are in search of Afghanistan’s collapse.
“We repeatedly said that we need a common view for building confidence and forming national unity government. We ask the government that there is a need for national consensus,” Massoud said.
His remarks came at a gathering held for marking the death anniversary of Sayed Hussian Anwari, a former jihadi and the leader of Hezb-e-Harakat (Islamic Movement Party) who died of illness in July 7th, last year.
According to Massoud, the reason behind ongoing political crisis is government’s failure to implement the agreements made after formation of National Unity Government (NUG).
Khalil Anwari, son of Sayed Hussain Anwari, however, said that the National Unity Government has not achieved significant outcomes and reforms cannot be brought unless the political leaders change their attitude way forward.
