China Donates Agricultural Mechanization Equipments to MoAL

The Republic of China donated 300 tractors worth over $8 million to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to reinforce agriculture sector in Afghanistan.

Afghan Minister of Agriculture said with the help of these tractors Afghanistan’s agriculture will go partially toward mechanization.

“Ten percent of the spare parts are also available with the machines, we will divide these machines to six regions in Afghanistan,” Asadullah Zameer Minister of Agriculture and Livestock said on Tuesday.

Chinese ambassador in Kabul says Afghanistan has 20 percent GDP in agriculture sector, 40 percent of the population of Afghanistan are employed in this sector.

“We had economical projects in Afghanistan in the past and we would like to continue this program in the future too,” Deng Xijun China ambassador to Afghanistan said.

At the same time the agriculture minister of Afghanistan says they have decided to open agricultural parks in six zones of Afghanistan to support agriculture and horticulture and its aim is to find markets for Afghan farmers abroad the country.
