China Pledges 2 Billion Yuan to Afghanistan
China, one of the important allies of Afghanistan, has pledged two billion Yuan (Chinese Currency) to Afghanistan’s different sectors for the next four years.
President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, who is in four-day visit of China, announced Beijing’s pledge on Wednesday during his speech to the students of Tsinghua University in the capital of China.
President Ghani also announced that he has won China’s promise to rebuild the traditional Silk Road between Afghanistan and China.
President Ahmadzai during his speech stressed the need for improved diplomatic ties between China, India and Pakistan, believing it effective to Afghanistan’s peace.
President added he, during first six months of his government, would invest on implementation of the Constitution and would also give role to women in the judicial system.
President Ahmadzai left for China on Tuesday to attend Heart of Asia meeting along with meeting Chinese traders to encourage them for investment in Afghanistan.
