Commission for Amending Electoral System Soon: Abdullah
Chief Executive Officer of the National Unity Government, Abdullah Abdullah, declares a commission will be formed soon to work on changing the electoral system of the country.
In a meeting with Kabul elders on Saturday, Abdullah stated that the responsibility of establishing this commission was the job of chief executive, thus, he would form the commission soon to bring changes in the electoral system of the country.
“The electoral system should be so strong that the people should trust on it and help the nation towards progress,” Abdullah expressed.
“We are committed to establish this commission to bring reforms in the electoral system, the electoral law and all other processes.”
He called the unity government as a united team and hoped they would complete their five years and would work jointly in the areas of rule of law, security, development and peace.
He promised to fulfill his commitments he made during the election campaigns.
