Czech Republic Seeking Innovation That Will help Afghanistan’s Agricultural Projects

Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, Marian Jurecka assured that his country is ready to support Afghanistan in the area of developing agriculture projects.

Addressing a joint press conference with Afghan counterpart in Kabul on Thursday, Czech Minister said: “On behalf of the Czech government I would like to say that our task is to support not only in the area of security and education but also in the area of the development of agriculture projects.”

Jurecka added that he is looking for the opportunities where “Czech republic could be a good partner for Afghanistan.”

Afghan Minister of Agriculture said that Afghanistan lacks development in agriculture, mainly in livestock and he urged cooperation of Czech Republic in regard.

“We are in talks with [Czech Republic] to cooperate in agriculture sector, particularly in livestock and dairy productions,” said Minister Asadullah Zamir.

This comes as the Republic of Czech has implemented some agriculture projects in  eastern Logar province and now the country is keen to development these projects throughout Afghanistan.
