DABS officials meet with Turkmenistan counterparts over Noorul Jihad substation

A Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) delegation recently met with Murad Artikov, head of Turkmenistan’s international technical projects department, and his accompanying technical delegation, on progress around Herat’s Noorul Jihad substation project.

During the meeting, Breshna Sherkat’s leadership requested the Turkmen side finalize proposals, corrections, preparation of documents, and the final agreement on equipment needed so that the project can be completed without delay.

In addition, the Turkmenistan delegation expressed their gratitude to DABS’s leadership and technical officials for their cooperation.

They emphasized the importance and usefulness of joint meetings and discussions in finding solutions to problems related to electricity purchase and technical projects.

With the development of the Noorul Jihad substation in Herat and an increase in imported electricity from Turkmenistan, electricity shortage problems in the North West Zone of Afghanistan will be resolved, DABS has said.

According to DABS this will have a positive impact on local industry, the economy, agriculture, and business development.
