ISIL Daesh Forces have stormed into Afghan security police forces check points in Achin District of Nangarhar Province early this morning.

Ghalib Mujahid the Achin district Governor has confirmed the attack saying armed clash continues among the two sides, and gun fire is still heard from Achin.

Afghan border police commanders have arrived in the front-line to direct the war.

Earlier United Nation has expressed its concerns over the developing activities of Daesh forces in east of the country specially in Nangarhar.

District Governor Mujahid had said,” that Daesh forces have prevented the Achin district residents not to do Sacrificing of animals (Qurbani) because they should have converted into Pure Islam then they could do that.”

The UN report says that IS has been winning over a growing number of sympathizers and recruiting followers in 25 out of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.

The report has also mentioned that IS militant Abdul Rauf Khadem, who was the former Taliban adviser to former leader Mullah Mohammad Omar, and has since formed his own group in Helmand and Farah provinces.

Almost 70 IS militants from Iraq and Syria are now a core part of the group’s branch in Afghanistan, the report said.

Officials in National Security Directorate have rejected the UN report indicating Daesh forces gaining grounds in Afghanistan.
