Danish introduces security heads to gain trust votes from Wolesi Jirga

Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish has introduced the security candidates for the Defense Ministry and National Security Directorate (NDS) to the parliament to gain trust votes, meanwhile asking Taliban to halt violence on the holy month of Ramadan.

Second vice President Sarwar Danish said,” I call Taliban to halt violence during the Holy month of Ramadan, don’t kill Afghans if you have little sense of human beings.”

He also relayed the President message to the law makers saying in order to consider the current sensitive security conditions we shouldn’t have to hesitate to select the following candidates for the two main security posts.

Masoum Stanikzai was introduced as the head of the National Security Directorate while Abdullah Habibi was introduced as the Minister of Defense.

“ I want the Afghan parliament members to consider the current sensitive security situation, and observe the future International Warsa summit, vote for the following two candidates second vice President Sarwar Danish passed the President massage.”

Earlier Presidential palace had introduced Masoum Stanikzai as the candidate for the Ministry of Defense who failed to gain the enough trust votes from the Mps in the lower house of the parliament.
