Deadly blast killed at least 15 cadets in Kabul

Following a bloody night a suicide bomber blew himself up among the Kabul police academy Cadets on Friday evening, killing at least 15 cadets.

On the condition of anonymity an official said Friday evening’s suicide bomber was dressed in police uniform when he detonated an explosives-laden vest outside the gates of Kabul’s police academy.

He had stood among a queue of police cadets who were waiting to enter the building having returned from their two-day weekend, officials said.

According to the officials at least 15 cadets were killed and more than 20 others were injured, but a statement from the ministry of interior affairs said, we condemn “in the strongest terms the terrorist attack at the entrance gate of Afghan National Police Academy which resulted 40 cadets and civilians killed and wounded”.

At the same night an explosion was heard near Kabul Airport at Qasaba area continued by gunfire between insurgents and Afghan security forces.

No details on causalities reported yet.
